Did you know that your Father in Heaven will never reject you?
God loves us because he chooses to love us in spite of our failures. He loved us while we were still sinners, (Romans 5:8) and he will never stop loving us.

I'm reminded of two parables that Jesus taught. The first was about a son who demanded all his future inheritance in advance and left his father. After living a hard life, he realized the error of his decision and returned home to find his loving father eagerly running out to embrace him. (Luke 15:11) Second, the parable Jesus told about the man who discovered a treasure in a field and went and sold everything he had so he could buy the treasure. (Matt 13:44) We are that treasure to God. He gave everything to purchase us and redeem us. And, even though we often refuse, reject and run away from God, he is always eager to accept us when we repent and return back to him.
Similarly, when God chose to make a nation out Israel, he picked them because they were few and small and he made them a treasured possession and set His love on them. (Deut. 7:6-7) He will not reject them or abandon them.
God's perfect plan for Israel was that they would receive Jesus and be saved and they would lead the rest of the nations into salvation. But scripture tells us that because of their rejection of the Messiah (Jesus) He has set Israel aside for a time so He can bring salvation to the Gentiles and make Israel jealous so they will return to Him. (Romans 11:11)
Paul goes on to say in the next verse, "Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean!"
Indeed, we are looking forward to the time when Israel receives their true Messiah as that will usher in a glorious time when God's kingdom will reign on Earth. Scripture tells us of a future time when there will be remnant of 144,000 Holy Spirit-filled Jewish witnesses for Jesus that will impact the rest of the world. (Rev. 7)
There will be a time when God turns his favor back to Israel. He has to, because there are still many outstanding promises (prophesies) that involve Israel.
As Paul asked and answered at the beginning of the chapter, "Has God rejected His people? Certainly not!"
God is always at work, and He always has a remnant chosen by grace to accomplish His will. When we feel alone, abandoned or overwhelmed, we can take heart that our relationship with God is not based on our performance but simply upon our faith in Jesus. He chooses to love us and use us even when we don't deserve it. If it were anything else, it wouldn't be grace. (Romans 11:6) We can take great comfort in knowing He will never leave us or forsake us. (Deut. 31:8) And He will always be with us. (Matt. 28:20).
